Hi! Thanks for visiting my website.

 

I'm Martin, Sussex born and bred, I am currently based in Horsham. A musician by trade, I took up photography just before Covid struck and found plenty of time during lockdown to hone my skills photographing pigeons, geese and ducks! Thankfully we came out the other side of lockdown and I have since been able to pursue my passion which is for photographing people in all life's situations; from formal studio portraiture and fashion through to professionals in their workplace - particulalrly musicians and performers of all kinds.

I took advantage of the permission to travel for educational purposes during lockdown and travelled down to the beautiful Dorset coast where I completed a couple of City&Guilds courses in Portrait and Wedding photography as well as completing a Level 3 qualification. This provided a solid foundation to further self-tuition in the technical side of photography and studio lighting as well as giving a thorough understanding of image editing using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

I was (and still am on ocassions) a professional violinist. I have had some wonderful musical experiences over a career spanning four decades, including much work in theatre. Many of my clients to date have been musical colleagues and ensembles.

I have a home studio space which is ideal for portraiture and am also able to travel to clients' homes with portable studio equipment if required.
